This is neither an apparition nor a dream: the Slide, a flying skateboard designed by Lexus, is for real. This incredible project was launched in the Lexus workshops with the help of German engineers specialising in magnetic levitation. In the fourth project of the series, « The extraordinary in motion », the automobile manufacturer pushes the limits of the impossible.

Proven by professional skater Ross McGouran, the slide is stunning, floating a few centimetres above the ground on a runway equipped with magnetic fields invisible to the naked eye.

The circuit consists of descents, turns, and a small pool of water so you can admire the agility of the skater on the Slide. Superconductors located inside the skateboard, are cooled with liquid nitrogen to levitate above the magnetic section of the track.

A video of tests leaves us speechless and announces promising developments for this incredible prototype.
