For its spring/summer 2017 collection, Humberto Leon and Carol Lim have drawn their inspiration from the archives of a renowned artist: Antonio Lopez. The artist´s Polaroids and photo montages are brought back to life on their dresses and sweatshirts.

Kenzo woman is illusive: sometimes wearing dresses adorned with sequins and spangles, other times taffetas or raincoats in army or graphical prints, she is where you least expect to find her.

The collection offers original outlines where a mixture on non-matching pieces are superimposed but with a certain equilibrium. Trousers and skirts are high waisted and voluminous, whilst the tops accentuate the curve of the shoulders for an assertive and resolutely pop look.

Femininity and diversity are in the spotlight. Satin and threaded fabrics are perfectly combined with the obvious simplicity of basic cotton or denim jeans.

Ponchos, parkas and army style raincoats are reincarnated in several pieces, being transformed into dresses and baggy shirts, a mark of flippancy and a careful carelessness.
